This cave is the closest to Metro Louisville...about a 45 minute drive down I-64. The cave is beautiful and is worth the drive. There are also a lot of activities in addition to the cave. There is a working grist mill and a reproduction pioneer village. This can be good if there are members in your party who do not wish to visit the cave, such as seniors or persons with disabilities. This can be a great alternative for those who don't want to make the longer drive to Mammoth Cave.
